A feast of nature

As an Artist, Gail’s passion is the natural world. She specialises in Botanic & Arboreal artwork created in two very distinctive styles:

Botanics

The age-old process of creating Botanic paintings with Watercolour – exacting scale and immaculate presentation on hot pressed Watercolour paper. This way of presenting flora & fauna dates back, to a time where photograph didn’t exist and the recording of plant life-cycles had to be created by Artists who travelled the world and created exact replicas of what they observed.

Arboreal

Tree and forest scenes depicting the trees at differing times of the day, and differing seasons. Mostly (but not exclusively) created in high colour Acrylic paints on canvas, the scenes produce power through perspective. It is these Arboreal paintings that inspired Gail’s poetry writing and a lot of the tree & forest scenes star in her book ‘The Trees, from Dawn to Dusk’.
